or Jane - name uncertain. The name of her father comes from "A Breconshire Pedigree" by H. J. T. Wood in "The Genealogist" Vol. XIV, pg. 147 . Under the Welsh naming scheme of that period, her father's name lists the given name of the preceding generations in order back to David Gam. Wood's pedigree should be very reliable as he derived it from period court records rather than the usual pedigree sources, which he notes, are often inaccurate. I have been able to fill in full details with spouses for each such generation from "Annals and Antiquities of the Counties and County Families of Wales" by Thomas Nicholas pg. 90, ( written in 1872) which confirms Wood's pedigree in this respect. David Gam, having been a fairly important historical personage, his pedigree is available from numerous sources. Thus, through this marriage the Williams family of Talyllyn can show, in full detail, descent from Einion Sais, the 13th century Brecon Lord who served Edward III at the battles of Cressy and Poitiers and, from him, back to Bleddyn ap Maenarch, the Welsh Prince who was defeated and killed in Battle by the Normans in about 1092.
