Notes for WILLIAM LAWRENCE MURRAY:
William Lawrence settled on the east side of Stagg Creek, a short distance above where it flows into Quaker Creek. He acquired more land, and built the ancestral home of the Cross Roads Murrays.
His will, made January 2, 1805, and probated on February 7, 1805, mentions his grist mill , saw mill, "my land claims and rights in Cumberland," and other large tracts of land. He mentions his Negro slaves but does not indicate how many he owned, all of which indicates that he had become quite a man of property.

James seems to be older since he has older children. Joseph is between 26 and 45. He might be an older child of James. If that is the case, then James could be much older than Henry. James might then be the father of Henry.Eli is between the age of 16 and 25. At this time, I do not think that he is a child of Henry. In a court record Henry calls Eli a friend. This would indicate that Eli was not a son but could have been a relative.)
