General Notes: Wife - Margarette Sands

According to NY Times articles of 11/17 and 24/1906, Margaret hired attorneys to try to get her cousin, Valeria Sands, released from the Sanford Hill Asylum. A fight broke out in court between her and her sister "Mattie Robinson". According to the Washington Post on November 19 , 1910, Mrs. Mary E. Robertson, a cousin of Valeria's, brought a habeas corpus proceeding, for Valeria's release in Brooklyn Supreme Court . Thus, I conclude that the "Mattie Robinson" referred to by the Times is Margaret's sister, Mary. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Robertson attended the wedding of their sister Anna Sands, according to the Brooklyn Eagle on April 28, 1895, However, I am sticking with Robinson as Mary's husband’s name based upon the handwritten family tree of her Uncle Charles V. Sands.
